Monstera Deliciosa is native to the tropical regions of Mexico and South America and it has rapidly become one of the most popular indoor plants available today. It grows vigorously, even indoors. As a tropical plant, Monstera Deliciosa enjoys living environments with high humidity and shade.
The name derives from the Spanish words Monstera (monsterous?) because the plant can grow to over 30 ft tall in the wild, and Deliciosa (delicious?) because of the edible fruit which it produces.
